Yoobi, an Australian-based company that sells brightly colored office and school supplies and donates school supplies back to kids in need, purchased a cold shell office space for their new headquarters in El Segundo, California. The new office design takes advantage of natural woods and earthy colors to contrast the vibrant eye catching products that will be featured throughout. A mini showroom next the reception on Level 1 draws in guests from the street to learn about the company and support the charitable cause. The stairs up to Level 2 open out onto an expansive pre-function gathering area in front of the conference rooms overlooked by the impromptu meeting spaces on the mezzanine level. The planogram rooms at the center of the space represent the heart of Yoobi’s operations – these are the rooms where Yoobi products are studied and designed to stand out from competitors. A generous ‘townhall / kitchenette’ centered on an existing balcony is large enough for all the staff to gather meals or company events. The majority of the office space is open for flexible pod-style desk arrangements to accommodate different team sizes and group organization.
